Support Our 1st Ever WALK FOR LIFE by sponsoring a student or staff member!
On December 7, 2013, LIFE School will hold its first ever WALK FOR LIFE. The event has multiple pursposes: raising funds for our scholarship program, celebrating LIFE School’s 25 years, and learning about personal and community health.
We will hold the event at the Reserva Atitlán, a longtime supporter of LIFE School. Students, parents, staff, and community members will walk the beautiful trails of the reserve while raising money for current and future LIFE School scholarships. If you’d like to sponsor a particular LIFE School student or staff member for their participation in the event or if you’d like to make a general donation, please visit our Donate Now page to learn how to do so.
By sponsoring a student or staff member in the WALK FOR LIFE, you will be ensuring that we continue to be able to provide scholarships to local indigenous students who would not otherwise be able to attend LIFE School. The scholarship program is essential to our mission of providing an excellent international and multicultural bilingual education to students of all income levels and cultural backgrounds.
Leading up to the event and through our next trimester, we will be learning more about personal and community health and a walk in the beautiful natural environment of the Reserva Atitlán is a great way to get physical exercise while also learning about the importance of keeping our environment healthy as well. Please consider participating in the Walk if you are in the area or supporting the event with a donation towards the scholarship program. Donations can be made by check to our 501(c)3 Foundation or on our DONATE NOW page via paypal.
