May 2011 - The LIFE School Science Fair
Our approach to Science instruction at the LIFE School is hands-on and minds-on; students actively explore materials to build an understanding of how the world works, and our annual Science Fair gives students an opportunity to show off their work. In grades K-4, students work as a whole class to complete and present a scientific investigation. In grades 5 and 6, students work in teams to design, carry out, and present an experiment. In grades 7-9, students are ready to complete their projects individually, with the teacher supporting and expanding their thinking at each step. Congratulations to all of our students for their great work! Take a look at the video and photo highlights of the presentations and poster exhibition.
